Duas for Ones Parents [Quran 17:24]

It is good to say this dua after every salah when making dua to Allah (SWT).

|Heart to Heart: say this dua no matter how they raised you because you are where you are today because of them. And since you are here trying to get closer to Allah (SWT) and Islam, you are exactly where you need to be.|

1. Rab-bir hhamhumaa kamaa rab-bayaanee swagheeraa

~My lord, have mercy on them as they did raise me when I was small.

Dua Made by Ibrahim (AS) [Quran 3:173]

Dua recited by Ibrahim (AS) when he was thrown into the fire. It can be said anytime one is in distress or trouble.

2. Hasbunallahu wa ni’ mal wakeel

~Sufficient for us is Allah (SWT) and he is the best disposer of affairs.

Dua Made by Yunus (AS) [Quran 21:87]

Dua recited by Yunus (AS) when he was in the belly of the whale. It can also be said anytime one is in distress or trouble or made a mistake. It is also known as Ayat al-Karim

3. Laa ilaaha il-la anta subhaanak, in-ni kunthu minaz-zwalemeen

~There is none worthy of worship besides you, glorified are you, surely I am from the wrongdoers

Dua Made by Jibreel (AS) [Sahih Muslim 2185]

Jibreel (AS) said this dua for Muhammad (SAW) when he was ill. This dua is for good health, to become healthy, or protection from evil such as the evil eye and black magic.

4. Bismillahi arqeeka, min kul-li shayin’ yu’-dhzik. min shar-re kul-li nafsin aow a’inin hhaasid. allahu yashfeeka, bismillahi arqeek

~In the name of Allah (SWT), I recite over you against all that troubles you, and from every harmful mischief and from the evil of the eyes of an envier. Allah (SWT) will cure you. In the name of Allah (SWT) I recite over you.

Dua for Various Misfortunes [Sahih Bukhari 7:158]

Dua for anxiety, sorrow, debt, any other misfortunes

5. Allahuma inni ‘a’oodzu beka minal ham-mi walhhazan. wal-a’gze wal kasal. wal-bukhli wal-jubun. wa dwa-la-i’d daini wa ghalabahir rijal.

~O Allah (SWT), I seek refuge in you from grief and sadness, from weakness and laziness, from miserliness and cowardice, from being overcome by debt and overpowered by men.
