Wudu / Ablution
One has to say one dua before wudu and two duas after wudu.
Dua before Wudu:
Bismillah hil aliyyil azeem. Alhamdulillahi a’laa dee-nil islam. Al islamu hakkun wal kufrun baatilun. Al islamu nurun wal kufrun zulmath.
Dua after Wudu:
Allahum-maja a’l-li minath taw-waa beena waja’lnee minal mutha-twah-hereen
When you have finished Wudu say Kalima Shahadth while looking up (can be found in Kalimas section)
How to Perform Wudu / Ablution Steps:
1. Wash your right hand 3 times and then the left hand 3 times up to one’s wrists.
2. Take water using the right hand and put it into your mouth, rinse, and spit it out 3 times.
3. Take water using the right hand and splash it inside your nose and blow it out 3 times.
4. Use both hands to splash water onto your face and wipe the entire face 3 times.
5. Wash your right arm 3 times and then your left arm 3 times from the wrist to the elbow using the 3 long fingers. This wash includes the wrists and elbow.
6. Wet your hand and move the palm of both of your hands slowly over your whole head and back; from the top of the forehead to the back of the head before the neck.
7. Wet your hands again and use your fingers to clean the ears by putting the index finger into the ear and the thumb behind the ears. This is done just once.
8. Finally, wash your right feet 3 times and then your left feet 3 times up to and including the ankles. Using your left hand to wipe both feet in between each wash.
How Wudu Can Be Broken
1. Passing gas / farting
2. Sleeping
3. Passing out / fainting
4. Laughing during salah
5. Emission of blood or liquid residue from the skin or mouth (note: very small emissions will not break wudu)
