Muhammad (SAW)

Story 1: The First Encounter

One day when the prophet (SAW) was still young, he was playing with the children of Mecca and a man came and pushed him (SAW) to the ground. The other children ran to their parents in panic and told them what had happened to Muhammad (SAW) and because they were afraid they thought he was going to be killed. The prophet Muhammad (SAW) was watching fearlessly to see what this man wanted from him. This man was the angel Jibreel (AS) in his human form and the prophet (SAW) said that Jibreel (AS) opened his chest and grabbed the heart of the prophet (SAW). He then cut a portion of the heart of the prophet (SAW) and said “This is the portion of evil that the Shaytaan has placed within you and then threw it away. Afterwards, Jibreel (AS), proceeded to wash the heart of the prophet (SAW) within a golden vessel which contained Zamzam. This purified the heart of the prophet (SAW) and then Jibreel (AS) returned the heart back and closed the chest. Muhammad (SAW) watched as this was taking place and when it was all over Jibreel (AS) left without giving any explanation. The other kids and their parents then came and witnessed stitchings on the chest of the prophet (SAW) as well as his face being blue.

Story 2: The First Revelation

Muhammad (SAW) used to go to Mount Hira to think about many things from the condition of his communit to the state of humanity. This mountain was very high up and dark so no one used to go there but Muhammad (SAW). One day a man appeared and he told him to read to which he replied “I cannot read.” This man was Jibreel (AS) in human form and when the prophet (SAW) replied that he could not read, Jibreel (AS) grabbed him, squeezed him very hard, let him go and told him to read again. So again, the prophet (SAW) replied “I cannot read” and Jibreel (AS) again grabbed him, squeezed him even harder, let him go, and told him to read. Once again, the prophet replied “I cannot read.” For the third time Jibreel (AS) grabbed Muhammad (SAW), squeezed him so hard that he thought he was going to die, let him go, and told him: “Iqra’ bismi rabikal-lazee khalaq, khalaqal inasaana min a’laq, iqra’ wa rabukal akram, alazee a’al-lama bil qalam, a’al-lamal inasaana maa lam ya’alam… (Surah Al-A’alaq). Meaning of these 5 verses are: Read in the Name of you Lord who created, created humans from a clinging clot, read! And your Lord is the Most Generous, who taught by the pen, taught humanity what they knew not… The prophet (SAW) then quickly left the cave and looked back to see Jibreel (AS) in his original creation form covering the entire horizon. He rushed home frightened to his wife Khadija. When she asked him what was wrong he said “zamilloni (cover me up) repeatedly as he was shaking. The prophet (SAW) was so scared at this moment but this is when Khadija (RA) said “our Lord (Allah [SWT]) will never do this to you. Allah (SWT) will never disgrace or humiliate you because you fulfil the ties of kinship. You are good to the orphans, if anyone needs help, you are the one who helps them. You feed them and take care of them, you will  never be dishonored by Allah (SWT).” After that first revelation event, many months passed where the prophet (SAW) did not see Jibreel (AS) again until he taught Allah (SAW) was angry at him. This is when Allah (SWT) revealed the second surah to the prophet (Surah Ad-Duhaa)

Many more stories to come in the future. I also plan to add sources of the stories later.
