Ayatul Kursi

About Ayatul Kursi

Ayatul Kursi (Ayat Al-Kursi) is an ayah in Surah Al-Baqarah (verse 255). It consists of 9 sentences and 50 words. This is an ayah that has great significance and benefits that go with it. The more one recites this ayah the more bountiful the benefit is. There is an interesting story about Ayatul Kursi where Shaytaan himself teaches Abu Hurairah (RA) Ayatul Kursi and tells him it will protect him from the Shaytaan and the Shayateen. When Abu Hurairah (RA) told Muhammad (SAW) about it, the prophet (SAW) confirmed this one time the Shaytaan has spoken the truth but not to forget that the Shaytaan is a liar (will add the full story in the future).

Ayatul Kursi Translation

Allah (SWT)! There is no god except he, the ever-living, the sustainer of all that exists. Neither drowsiness overtakes him nor sleep. To him belongs whatever is in the heavens and earth. Who could intercede in his presence without his permission? He knows what is before his creatures and what will come after them, and they cannot encompass any knowledge of him except for what he wills. His throne extends over the heavens and earth, and he feels no fatigue in guarding and preserving them, for he is the most high and most great.
