List of Daily Duas

1. Going to sleep:
~Allaahum-ma bis-mika amoothu wa ahh-yaa

O Allah (SWT), in your name I die (sleep) and live (awake)

2. Waking up:
~Alhham-dhu lillaah hhil la-dzee ahhiyaa naa, ba’a da-maa amaa-tha-naa wa illai-hin nushoor

Praise be to Allah (SWT), who has given us life after he has caused us to die (in sleep) and to him we will return after resurrection

3. Before eating:
~Bismillaahi wa a’ala baraka-thillaah

In the name of Allah and with the blessings of Allah (SWT)

4. After eating:
~Allhham-dhu lillaah hil la-dzee athwa’a-manaa wa sa-qaa-naa wa ja’a-lanaa minal mus-le-meen

Praise be to Allah (SWT) who has fed us food and drink and made us Muslims

5. During eating if you forgot to say the dua before eating:
~Bismillaahi aow-wala hu wa aakhirahu

In the name of Allah (SWT), the first and the last (the beginning and the end)

6. Entering the bathroom:
~Allahum-ma in-nee ahw’u-zu bika minal khubusi wal kabaa-ees
Note: You must enter with the left foot.

O Allah, I seek refuge in you from all evil and evil-doers

7. Leaving the bathroom:
~Ghuf raa-naka alhham-dhu lillaah hhil la-dzee az-haba a’an-nil-azaa wa a’aa-faa-nee
Note: you must exit with the right foot.

I seek forgiveness, praise be to Allah (SWT) who removed from me discomfort and gave me relief

8. Entering the house:
~Bismillahi wa lajnaa wa bismillahi kha-rajnaa wa a’ala rab-binaa thawak-kalnaa
Note: You must enter with the right foot.

In the name of Allah (SWT) we enter and in the name of Allah (SWT) we leave and in our creator we place our trust

9. Leaving the house:
~Bismillahi tawakal-thu a’alal-laah, wa laa hhaowla wa laa quw-watha il-laa bilaa
Note: You must leave with the left foot.

In the name of Allah (SWT), I place my trust in Allah (SWT) and there is no might and no power except with Allah

10. Entering the masjid / mosque:
~Allahumaf-thah-li abwaabaa rahhmatik
Note: You must enter with the right foot.

O Allah (SWT), open to me your doors of mercy

11. Leaving masjid / mosque:
~Allahuma in-nee as-aluka min fadhlik
Note: you must leave with the left foot.

O Allah (SWT), I ask from you your favor

12. When getting into any form of transportation:
~Subhhaa nal-lazee sak-khara lanaa haazaa wa-maa kun-naa lahu muqre neen, wa in-naa elaa rab-binaa lamun-qaleboon

Glory to Allah (SWT) who has put this (transportation) under our control though we were unable to control it, to our lord we are to return.

13. When the transportation you are in goes in motion:
~Bismillahi maj-ree ha wa mursaahaa in-na rab-bee la ghafoo-rur-raheem

In the name of Allah (SWT), it moves and it stops, for my lord is most forgiving and most merciful

14. Eating medicine:
~Allah shafi Allah kafi

Allah (SWT) is the healer, Allah (SWT) is sufficient

15. When you hear someone passed away:
~In-na lillahi wa in-na ilaihi raji’un

We belong to Allah (SWT) and to Allah (SWT) we will return

16. After sneezing:
~Alhhamdu lillah

All praise be to Allah (SWT)

17. When hearing someone sneeze:
~Yar hhamukallah

May Allah (SWT) have mercy on you

18. After hearing a response to your sneeze:
~Yahdeekumullahu wa yuslehu baalakum

May Allah (SWT) guide you and improve your condition

19. After yawning:
~La hawla wala kuw wata illlah billah hil a’li liyil a’dzeem

There is no might and no power except with Allah (SWT) the magnificent

20. When drinking milk:
~Allahuma baarik lanaa feehe wa zidnaa minh

O Allah (SWT), grant us blessing in it and more of it
